Police presence, including a helicopter, was reported by onlookers in the Preston Royal Shopping Center this afternoon, and a parent of a St. Marks School of Dallas student posted concern on a neighborhood watch site.

City of Dallas Council Member Gay Donnell Willis offered a prompt response to queries raised concerning the incident, indicating all four suspects involved had been apprehended by DPD.

According to Willis, after Dallas Police officers ran the license plate of a vehicle that caught their attention, they discovered the vehicle was stolen in Fort Worth. The officers followed the car to the 6100 block of Tulip Lane, where four suspects fled the vehicle. Three were booked immediately, and the fourth suspect was apprehended soon after.

All four were taken to Dallas County Jail, reported the Council Member.
