Lake Austin Spa Resort in the Texas Hill Country has seriously just lapped every other summer camp experience for teens.

Though it’s always welcomed teens to enjoy wellness, water sports and warm Hill Country hospitality, this year Lake Austin Spa Resort is offering a camp experience for teens that leverages the many natural and programmatic amenities Lake Austin Spa is known for plus a few special events.

Camps will be held July 20 through August 3 for teens 13 and older and registration is included in the all-inclusive nightly rate.

Late summer is a great time to reconnect as a family before back-to-school busyness pulls you in different directions. While parents are enjoying spa services, cooking classes, poolside cocktails, or one of the resort’s many programs, teens can peel off to have their own fun and learn about age appropriate wellness, including nutrition, skin care, and mindfulness. While these activities are not exclusively for teens, parents can participate too, some activities will appeal more to the younger set.

Rates for double occupancy start at around $1400 per day and include luxury accommodations; three fresh, locally-sourced gourmet meals each day; unlimited snacks; complimentary room service; unlimited juices, as well as coffee, hot and cold tea, lemonade, frozen yogurt and sorbets; access to LakeHouse Spa and an array of pools, steam rooms, saunas, whirlpools, and gardens; unlimited use of paddleboards, kayaks and hydrobikes; and programmed wellness experiences such as yoga and meditation, guided hikes and group boat outings, and my favorite: the cooking classes. Spa treatments and individual fitness or wellness experiences are not included in the daily rate.

The fun activities offered include kayaking, boating, wakeboarding, guided hikes, foraging excursions, and relay races. Centurion Boats Guest Teen World WakeSurf Champions will even be on-site to host confidence-building wake surfing sessions.

If you’re going to be hot in Texas, you might as well be on the glorious shores of Lake Austin at one of the world’s top three destination spas according to Condé Nast Traveler.
