Trinity Christian Academy (TCA) announced three students recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation for the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.
This year, more than 1.3 million students entered the National Merit Scholarship Program and were selected based on their scores on the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
TCA’s 2026 National Merit Semifinalists are seniors Samuel Qian and Nathan Youn. The nationwide pool of Semifinalists, representing less than 1% of U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state.
Semifinalists will move forward in the 71st annual competition, competing for scholarships with a combined worth of nearly $26 million offered next spring.
TCA senior Caroline Hatton was recognized as a National Merit Commended Student, placing among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2026 competition.
