Movie lovers are invited to celebrate three days of film, conversation, and community at the Edgemere Film Fest, taking place October 24–26, 2025. The event will showcase cinematic stories rooted in Texas history and spirit, while celebrating aging as a vibrant, relevant, and evolving experience — both on screen and in real life. The film showcase shines a light on powerful portrayals of older adults, uplifts the contributions of senior actors and filmmakers, and explores stories that challenge outdated stereotypes about aging.

Each afternoon, guests will enjoy complimentary screenings of acclaimed films that highlight courage, character, and connection. The festival opens Friday, October 24, with The Old Man and the Gun, the charming story of an outlaw played by Robert Redford. Saturday, October 25, features 12 Mighty Orphans, based on the true story of a Fort Worth football team that inspired a nation. The weekend concludes Sunday, October 26, with the epic classic The Alamo, a powerful tale of heroism and sacrifice.

Following each screening, attendees can take part in engaging Q&A sessions with filmmakers and industry professionals who will share insights into the creative process. Each afternoon continues with a lively reception featuring refreshments, music, photo opportunities on the red carpet, and special giveaways.

Reservations are required, but admission and valet parking are complimentary. Check-in begins at 12:30 p.m., with films starting at 1:30 p.m. To register, email [email protected], call 214-730-5588, or visit EdgemereLife.com/Events.
