Highland Park recovered from a slow start to rally past Wylie in its boys basketball season opener on Friday.
The Scots surged down the stretch for a 61-56 victory behind a game-high 20 points from Canon Wyatt. Drew Fisher added 12 points and Cade Kaplan poured in 10 for HP, which led for most of the second half.
The Scots will return to action on Tuesday when they host Class 6A powerhouse Allen, then will travel to face Lake Highlands in their first road test of the season on Nov. 21.
