Jesuit Dallas defended its home turf with a fourth straight title at the annual Jesuit-Meintser soccer tournament with a 2-0 win over Prosper on Saturday.

Cooper McGough and Mason Farley scored the goals for the Rangers (2-0-1), who advanced to the championship game after outlasting Bryan Adams in penalty kicks the day before.

Jesuit began the three-day event with a 2-0 shutout of Trinity Christian on Thursday before the 1-1 draw against Bryan Adams. The Rangers outscored their three opponents by a combined margin of 5-1 in regulation play.

Also at the tournament, Thomas Jefferson topped W.T. White in penalties to earn the consolation championship. The Longhorns (1-3-2) fell to Bryan Adams in the opening round before topping Trinity Christian on Friday.

The event is named after the late Hank Meintser, who started the Jesuit soccer program in 1960 and was the coach for 22 years in addition to other efforts in growing the sport in North Texas.
