Job Title: Dental Assistant – Periodontics
Job Location: 7557 Rambler Rd, STE 918, Dallas TX, 75231
Job Duties: Comprehensive assistance to the periodontist in surgical and non-surgical procedures, preparing rooms, sterilizing instruments, and applying infection control protocols. Support periodontal surgeries (implants, grafts, bone surgery) anticipating needs and instrumenting materials. Perform dental x-rays (PA, BW, panoramic, CBCT), periodontal records, management of medical records, and pre- and post-operative instructions, guaranteeing comfort and patient care.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, Dentistry, or related discipline. Twenty-four months experience in dental assisting, including patient preparation, instrument sterilization, x-raying, and clinical procedure support. Licensed Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in Texas, certified in Radiology (as required by Texas Dental Board), and CPR/BLS. Additional valued skills include sedation and nitrous oxide monitoring, knowledge of OSHA/HIPAA protocols, effective communication, experience in phlebotomy, PRF preparation and management of dental software and EHR systems.
