Scottie Scheffler’s family has grown! The two-time Masters champion and former Highland Park High School standout arrived at the Augusta National Golf Club over the weekend with his family in tow. This year, there was a new addition.
The Associated Press reports Scheffler’s wife, Meredith, gave birth to a boy, who they named Remy, on March 27.
“We just liked it,” The AP reports Scheffler said about the name. “We didn’t have very many good boy names, to be honest with you.”
ESPN reports Scheffler withdrew from the Houston Open on March 24, citing family reasons, ahead of Remy’s birth.
The couple’s first son, Bennett, was reportedly born shortly before the PGA Championship in 2024.
Yahoo! Sports reports Scheffler is the betting favorite to win the Masters, which kicks off April 9.
