Dr. and Mrs. Terry Doyce Williams of Montgomery, Ala., announce with pleasure the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Williams, to Robert Leland Shaw III, son of Mrs. Robert Leland Shaw Jr. and the late Robert Leland Shaw Jr. of University Park.
Miss Williams is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary John Williams of Gadsden, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil D. Williams of Huntsville, Ala., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Uhlich, of Montgomery, Ala.
Mr. Shaw is the grandson of Mrs. Robert Louis Bruns and the late Mr. Robert Louis Bruns of New Braunfels, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leland Shaw of Dallas.
The bride is a graduate of the Montgomery Academy, the University of Alabama, and the International Culinary School of Dallas. Miss Williams is employed as a culinary scientist at Culinary Focus in Dallas.
The groom is a graduate of Highland Park High School and the University of Alabama. Mr. Shaw is a project manager for the oil and gas consulting firm Equity Metrix.
