Preservation Park Cities will host its annual Historic Home Tour and Market the Friday before Mother’s Day weekend.

The event recognizes homes that have been preserved or remodeled while maintaining the aesthetic of the Highland Park and University Park neighborhoods. This year’s event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, May 8, is co-chaired by Cory Bowen and Krista Porteous. The event’s rain date is Saturday, May 9.

Proceeds from ticket sales support Preservation Park Cities in its mission to preserve and promote the history, architecture, aesthetics, and cultural traditions of the Park Cities.

“From small cottages to larger estates, the home tour is a small window into the past, a celebration of those who share the community’s values, and a wonderful treat for those who appreciate historic architecture,” according to a Preservation Park Cities news release.

The homes on this year’s tour are 3530 Princeton Avenue, 3801 Beverly Drive, and 4308 Overhill Drive.

The Historic Home Tour Market will be held at 3801 Beverly Drive. Visitors can browse Dallas-based vendors in their search for that perfect Mother’s Day gift. Access to the market, which will also be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., is included with Home Tour tickets.
