Jesuit Dallas dominated the District 7-6A soccer scene in 2026.

The Rangers made their way through conference play unscathed and dropped just one match overall during the regular season en route to a berth in the Class 6A Region I finals where they were eliminated by Plano West, 2-1.

Thus, it is no surprise to see Jesuit players peppered throughout the 7-6A all-district team.

In all, the Rangers had 12 players named to the squad, including seven first-teamers.

Leading the way with co-MVP honors was senior captain Connor McGough, who racked up 11 goals and three assists in 7-6A competition to share the award with Richardson Pearce’s Steve Gonzales.

“That’s a big deal for Connor,” said Charles DeLong, Jesuit head coach. “When you’re scoring more than a goal per game during the season, sheesh what a great season he had. But he was more than just a scorer, he was a leader and captain for us. He deserves all of the honors he’s received and we’ll see if there are more state honors on the way for him.”

Joining McGough on the superlative list was co-defensive MVP Christian Bilger.

DeLong praised Bilger not only for his physical abilities on the pitch, but for the leadership qualities he provided on the back end. It also didn’t hurt Bilger’s cause that he chipped in four goals and an assist during 7-6A action.

First-team performers from Jesuit were seniors Corbyn Wendorf and Luca Shipley, and juniors Henry King, Zane Roland, and Mason Farley.

Wendorf, a captain and defender, provided offensive support in addition to his defensive prowess.

King, meanwhile, was also a versatile player in the back and was described by DeLong as a weapon due to his abilities throwing the ball in.

In the midfield was Shipley with Roland and Farley contributing at forward.

“Mason was really a pleasant surprise after sitting out last year,” DeLong said. “He was very dangerous on set pieces because of his size and is just very strong in the air. Zane was an integral part of our offense with his ability to hold the ball and play off the ball. He was a tough player for other coaches to try and control.”

Shipley, meanwhile, made a big leap from junior varsity a year ago, according to DeLong, and was Jesuit’s top performer on free kicks and corner kicks.

Following with second-team honors from Jesuit were seniors Cruz Rodriguez (defense), Owen Shorey (defense), and Elias Canon (midfield), and juniors Preston Blach (midfield), and Sage Jones (goalie).

“After coming so close last year, I think a lot of our guys coming back were kind of wondering if we missed our chance,” DeLong said. “But the kids did a tremendous job of buying in and coming together as a team. Especially on the back end, those guys really matured quickly. Mason came out of nowhere, and Shipley improved so much. All 20 guys on this team bought in and fulfilled their roles and that’s why we were able to take it to another level and make another good playoff run.”
