The gowns worn by this year’s La Fiesta de las Seis Banderas duchesses are on display at the University Park Public Library.
La Fiesta, which was founded in 1986, supports a variety of educational, charitable, and civic initiatives in the Park Cities. It’s a week-long celebration in late May or early June, culminating in the La Fiesta de las Seis Banderas Gala. The 2026 gala was held June 6 at the Fairmont Dallas and co-chaired by Beth Birdwell and Amy Kovac.
The Duchesses and Escorts are presented as part of a pageant representing the history of the Six Flags of Texas and the Park Cities. The 2026 season celebrated the flag of the Republic of Texas.
This year, 41 young women and men were chosen as Duchesses and Escorts based on their academic achievements, community involvement, and leadership.
Now, gowns worn by the La Fiesta de las Seis Banderas duchesses are on display at the University Park Public Library through June 20.
“Don’t miss this special opportunity to experience the extraordinary craftsmanship, artistry, and elegance of these custom-designed gowns up close. Each dress showcases remarkable creativity and attention to detail, making this exhibit a truly memorable experience,” a post on the La Fiesta Instagram page read.
