Debra Hunter Johnson, and Olga Martinez Hickman for being honored with the Texas Women’s Foundation (TXWF) Maura Women Helping Women Award. The award honors women who have significantly advanced opportunities dedicated to equitable representation for women through leadership, advocacy, mentorship, philanthropy, and community impact, and who create pathways for women to achieve economic security, stability, and success.

Johnson, a leadership strategist and community leader, is the founder of Reciprocity Consulting Group. Her long list of philanthropic service includes current membership on the board of Oncor Electric Delivery Company and the UT Southwestern Medical Center President’s Advisory Board, according to the TXWF webpage.

Hickman is the executive director of Bachman Lake Together, a Dallas nonprofit focused on preparing children and families for kindergarten success through early childhood education, parent leadership, and community partnerships. TXWF highlighted her work advancing “measurable, long-term outcomes in early childhood education and family well-being” through place-based collaboration.

Navya Desai and Jessie Moran, who were named semi-finalists in the Broadway Dallas High School Musical Theatre Awards in the Best Performer category, and Hattie Bethancourt, who was chosen as a Lighting Shadow for the awards ceremony. The Hockaday School students were recognized at the annual awards ceremony modeled after the Tony Awards that includes both performance and production categories.
