SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: SHAM SHERIFF
Reported at 5:11 p.m. June 18: A fraudster purporting to be a sheriff seeking to collect bond money scammed a person in the 4200 block of Potomac Avenue out of $100 via Bitcoin transfer.

15 Monday
Arrested at 7:18 p.m.: A 50 year old in the 4300 block of Belclaire Avenue for trespassing and burglary of a vehicle.
Reported at 10:29 p.m.: A porch pirate pilfered packages containing just over $360 worth of items including baking soda, vitamins, a dog collar, dog pads, and dog treats from a home in the 4500 block of Belclaire Avenue.

Arrested at 2:40 a.m.: A 22 year old for unlawfully carrying a weapon in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive.
Arrested at 8:48 a.m.: A 36 year old for parking in a no parking zone, possession of drug paraphernalia, burglary of a building, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Highland Park Village.
Arrested at 4:24 p.m.: A 33 year old for failure to identify – fugitive/intentionally giving false information and trespassing in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive.

Reported at 5:29 a.m.: A mischief maker was spotted looking in the window of a vehicle in the garage of a home in the 4500 block of Bordeaux Avenue.
Reported at 8:07 a.m.: A ne’er do well rummaged through a truck in the 4500 block of Bordeaux Avenue.
Reported at 12:32 p.m.: A burglar broke a window of a Ford F-250 in the 4400 block of Westway Avenue but didn’t take anything.
Reported at 1:43 p.m.: A crook broke a window of a truck in the 4400 block of Bordeaux Avenue and rummaged through it, but didn’t take anything.
Arrested at 2:06 p.m.: A 26 year old for possession of a controlled substance and a warrant at the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Preston Road.
