Traffic Advisory: Overnight Dallas North Tollway Closure

The City of Dallas has issued a traffic advisory for an upcoming overnight closure impacting travel to the Dallas North Tollway. 

According to a report issued by District 13 council assistant Amanda Reyes, the westbound I-635 to northbound Dallas North Tollway direct-connector ramp will be closed for routine maintenance by the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA). 

The closure will occur nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., July 7 to 24. 

The report offered drivers a detour route by taking the Dallas Pkwy to the Inwood Road exit, continuing on the I-635 frontage road, turning right onto northbound Dallas Pkwy, and following posted signs to enter the northbound Dallas North Tollway.  

City officials ask drivers to allow extra travel time and to follow all posted detour signs. Message boards will be in place to assist drivers. 

All closures are weather permitting and may be postponed if necessary, said the report.
