The Town of Highland Park has scheduled an asphalt rejuvenator seal to be applied to portions of town streets from July 13 through July 15.

According to an emergency management announcement, each day, work will begin at 7 a.m. and is anticipated to be complete by 6 p.m.

To allow for preparation of the road surface, the Town is requesting that all vehicles be removed by 7 a.m. from the street where work is to be performed.

All blocks in the work area will remain closed to traffic until the surface has thoroughly dried, said Town officials, adding that, weather permitting, the preservation treatment will take one day to complete.

According to the Town of Highland Park, the 4400-4600 blocks of Lakeside Drive are scheduled to receive the new asphalt seal application on Monday, July 13.

On Tuesday, July 14, work is scheduled to be completed along the 4700-4900 blocks of Lakeside Drive.

On Wednesday, July 15, the 5100-5400 blocks of Abbott Avenue are scheduled for the seal application.

The Town’s project manager, Gary Fitton, can be contacted with questions via e-mail at [email protected], the announcement read.
