Klyde Warren Park has named Calvert Collins-Bratton as its next president and chief executive officer, effective Sept. 1.
Collins-Bratton succeeds to the leadership role after more than a decade of involvement with the park as a donor and advocate. She also previously served as chair of the Dallas Park and Recreation Board.
“Few people understand the significance and potential of Klyde Warren Park as deeply as Calvert does,” said Jody Grant, chairman of the foundation’s board of directors. “She has been an advocate for public spaces throughout Dallas, a trusted philanthropic leader, and a longtime supporter of the Park. Her experience and expertise make her exceptionally qualified to lead Klyde Warren Park into the future.”
Most recently, Collins-Bratton served as chief relationships officer at Communities Foundations of Texas. As part of its executive leadership team, she worked with donors, families, corporations, and community partners on philanthropic initiatives across North Texas.

Before joining the foundation, Collins-Bratton was vice president of communications and strategic events for Methodist Health System Foundation. Earlier in her career, she spent more than a decade as a television reporter and anchor in Omaha, Las Vegas, and Dallas-Fort Worth.
Former Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert, a member of the park foundation’s board, led the executive search.
“From the beginning of the search, we were looking for a leader who could combine strategic vision, fundraising excellence, strong relationships, and a genuine passion for the park’s mission,” Leppert said. “Calvert stood out in every respect. The committee is confident she is the right leader at the right time.”
Collins-Bratton will oversee park operations, programming, fundraising, strategic partnerships, and the organization’s long-term vision, including its planned expansion.
