Tax-Free Weekend is upon the state of Texas and the Dallas area. To celebrate it, The Shops at Park Lane are hosting back-to-back events for the community on August 8 and 9 to celebrate the end of the summer.
All the events are free to the public and will feature sweet treats, a cooling station to stave off the beating sun, and live music. Families will also be able to get some much-needed back-to-school essentials at all retail stores, as well as the lifestyle center.
“Tax-Free Weekend is one of our favorite times of year because it brings families together as they prepare for a new school year,” says Amanda Lopez, marketing director of The Shops at Park Lane. “We wanted to make the experience about more than just shopping by creating a weekend filled with activities, entertainment, and memories families can enjoy.”
The events during the weekend include:
- The Crafty Party Dallas kids craft station on August 8, where Dallasites can cool off with mist stations, enjoy Frios Gourmet Pops, and dance to music from a live DJ.
- On August 9, My Festi Goodies is hosting a sensory play experience for kids, which includes a sensory acoustic music set, along with free Kona Ice shaved ice for a frozen treat.
- At The Shops at Park Lane, families can enjoy Tax-Free Weekend and its best benefit: back-to-school shopping. Whether you’re looking for new clothes, shoes, and accessories, or college dorm room essentials, the shops are there to make sure students look their best on their first day back.
