Officer Fired Gun At Robbery Suspect in North Dallas, No Injuries Reported, Police Say

A Dallas police officer fired their weapon at a robbery suspect after a chase in North Dallas, the Dallas Police Department confirmed Thursday afternoon. No injuries were reported and the suspect was taken into custody, officials said.

Dallas police initially responded to a robbery in progress call shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 6 in the 3500 block of Williamstown Road that involved an armed suspect who stole a vehicle, according to a press release.

Officers chased the suspect and conducted a traffic stop, and one officer fired their weapon as the suspect got out of the vehicle, police said.

The suspect was then taken into custody and no injuries were reported, officials said.

The investigation is ongoing and no other information was immediately available.
