Reported at 2:42 p.m. Aug. 24: A jewelry thief stole at least $164,031.81 worth of pieces from a resident in the 3600 block of Beverly Drive.

Reported at noon: Scammers took thousands of dollars from a woman after requesting she send money via UPS purportedly to verify her identity. The incident was reported to officers at a bank in the 5500 block of Preston Road.
26 Wednesday
Reported at 4:35 p.m.: A burglar broke a window of a Toyota Camry in a parking lot in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive and opened the glove box and center console, but didn’t take anything.

Arrested at 2:06 a.m.: A 45 year old for possession of a controlled substance in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive.
Arrested at 2:36 a.m.: A 29 year old for interfering with public duties at the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Armstrong Parkway.
Arrested at 9:50 a.m.: A 28 year old for unlawfully carrying a weapon, possession of a controlled substance, and a warrant in the 4300 block of Livingston Avenue.
Reported at 10:14 a.m.: A fraudster may have used the information of a resident in the 4500 block of Fairway Avenue to open accounts with Verizon and T-Mobile.

Arrested at 11:04 a.m.: A 31 year old for collecting garbage without the required permit at the intersection of Westside Drive and Lemmon Avenue.
Reported at 2:38 p.m.: A scammer purporting to be a law enforcement officer stole $500 via a gift card requested from a resident in the 3400 block of Potomac Avenue.
Reported at 6:10 p.m.: An opportunistic thief got into a Ford pickup truck that’d been left unlocked in the 3600 block of Princeton Avenue and stole a tool bag containing verious tools.
Arrested at 10:40 p.m.: An 18 year old for possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance at the intersection of Lakeside Drive and Beverly Drive.

Arrested at 2:23 a.m.: A 27 year old for driving while intoxicated and for warrants in the 3100 block of St. Johns Drive.
Arrested at 11:45 a.m.: A 53 year old in the 4700 block of Drexel Drive for assault causing bodily injury to a family member.
Reported at 12:26 p.m.: A burglar smashed a window of a GMC Sierra in the 3400 block of Knox Street and rummaged through the center console and glove box.
