University Park remains among the top 10 wealthiest suburbs in the U.S., according to a new report. The city’s average household income rose 60% from 2014 to 2024.
The report from GoBankingRates.com analyzed U.S. Census Bureau data for cities that were part of metropolitan statistical areas with at least 5,000 households and ranked the 50 suburbs with the highest average household incomes from 2014 to 2024.
University Park, which had an average home value in January of this year of $2,507,381, according to the report, was ranked the sixth wealthiest suburb this year, up from the eighth in 2016.
The city had an average household income of $407,253 in 2024, a jump of 60% from its average household income of $254,422 in 2014, the report shows.
It was the top-ranked North Texas city, but was followed closely in the rankings by Southlake, which came in at number eight this year with an average household income of $384,530 in 2024. Colleyville also made the list at number 46, with an average household income of $277,720 in 2024.

- West University Place, Texas, which had an average household income of $439,594 in 2024
- Rye, New York, with an average household income of $428,806 in 2024
- Los Altos, California, which had an average household income of $417,182 in 2024
- Paradise Valley, Arizona, with an average household income of $408,500 in 2024
