As my family and I strolled through the Highland Park Centennial Celebration on Sunday, I got to meet all three of the Republicans — Court Alley, Morgan Meyer, and Chart Westcott — who want to replace Dan Branch as the Park Cities’ representative in the Texas House. Speaking of families, Meyer’s daughters were sporting visors bearing Dad’s campaign logo, and Alley’s infant son was in a jumper promoting his campaign. Westcott is lacking in the cute kids (or any kids) department, but he’s got time to remedy that before the general election in November 2014.
