
The National Charity League has officially chartered its Turtle Creek chapter, which with 445 mother-daughter members is the largest chapter in the country. It was formed in October 2012.
The chapter draws its membership from girls in grades 7-12 at schools including Highland Park, Christ the King, ESD, Hockaday, Providence, Booker T. Washington, Shelton, Greenhill, and Bishop Lynch, among others.
The chapter volunteered more than 5,300 hours in its first year and serves 17 charities including Brother Bill’s Helping Hand. Buckner International, Community Partners of Dallas, North Texas Food Bank, and The Salvation Army.
