University Park resident Dan Branch, who has served as the state representative for House District 108 for more than a decade, lost to Ken Paxton in last night’s primary election for attorney general. Statewide, Branch got just over 36 percent of the vote while Paxton got 64, but in Dallas County, it was a different story — Branch got roughly 51 percent of the vote, while Paxton got 49 percent. What a close call.
