Where have all the conmen gone? And where are all the frauds? Where’s the street-wise hoodlum, to fight the moralizing laws? (Just hum that to Bonnie Tyler’s “I Need a Hero.”)
If you’ve read our latest police reports, you’ll notice a lack of crime in the Highland Park section (aside from our weekly skulduggery). Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining about the lack of crime reports from HP, but it does seem mighty fishy.
Which begs the questions: have the HPPD being doing such a fabulous job in keeping the streets clean from crime — at least for the week? Or are crooks getting craftier with their crimes?
