Signing off on a newspaper that you’ve slaved over for hours is a good feeling. Spotting a misspelled word as soon as said newspaper rolls off the press is a bad feeling. Merritt Patterson triumphantly returned to the pages of Park Cities People this week, and I welcomed her back by misspelling “ouster” as “outster” in one of the headlines above her column. D’oh! My only saving grace is that, since her column was about a gay Cub Scout leader, some readers might think I was making an intentional pun, albeit a bad one.
