As of today, the shops and boutiques in Highland Park Village are staying open until 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Previously, they all closed at 6. Sunday hours will remain noon to 5.
“The extended hours at Highland Park Village will be a convenience for people who work during the day and can’t get their shopping or errands done until after 6 p.m.,” said managing director Stephen Summers. “The village is especially pretty at night with the new illuminated clock tower and the great ambiance that the restaurants and Village Theater add. We believe the new hours will be a very positive change.”
The timing of this change is no coincidence. All of you people who dress better than I do are no doubt aware of Fashion’s Night Out.
