Ann McCartin Dies at 85
Ann Christine Daley McCartin, the wife of former Park Cities People owner and publisher Thomas R. McCartin, died on September 8, 2022. Mrs. McCartin was a longtime resident of the Park Cities and was closely associated with the newspaper from 1985 to 1988.

Remembering Max Glauben
Max Glauben, who survived the Nazi invasion of his hometown of Warsaw and internment in a death camp before he immigrated to the U.S., moved to Dallas, and became a longtime proponent of the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum, died April 28 on Holocaust Remembrance Day at 94.

Former Dallas Mayor Adlene Harrison Dies at 98
Adlene Harrison was a woman of firsts -- not just in Dallas, but for the U.S. as well. When she was appointed mayor in 1976, she became the first woman to serve in the role in Dallas, and was the first Jewish woman to be mayor of a major city in the U.S.
