You might have noticed some elves in Highland Park Village this winter selling mistletoe. The Lamplighter students behind “Quinn and Stella’s Jingle Bell Mistletoe” have made a $39,155.86 contribution to the North Texas Food Bank with their earnings.
Matching gifts from HP Village, stores, and companies, plus loose change from Lamplighter first-graders and individual donations helped make up the total.
Fourth-graders Quinn Graves and Stella Wrubel started the annual drive a few years ago with their “$1 feeds three people” message. This year the donation will help pay for 117,468 meals.
