The HPHS Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band will take a very special stage for any musician in March, but they’ll have to go more than 1,500 miles to get there.
Last spring the group submitted a recording to the National Youth Concert Series, which hosts an annual festival featuring high school bands and orchestras around the country. Those selected to perform will do so at the world-renowned Carnegie Hall in New York City.
The Highland band will perform wind ensemble and orchestral pieces on March 14, along with taking a few days to take in the sites of the big apple.
