The Frontiers of Flight Museum invites visitors to embark on the inaugural Caroline Rose Hunt Lecture Series.
The event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the museum, 6911 Lemmon Ave. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased through the museum’s website.
The Caroline Rose Hunt Lecture Series aims to not only serve as a tribute to aviation history but provide guests with a firsthand look at the leadership, sacrifice, and heart behind two of America’s most storied military flight demonstration teams.
The evening will open with remarks from the Frontiers of Flight Museum’s president and CEO, Abigail Erickson-Torres, followed by remarks from Ret. Adm. Patrick Walsh, a Frontiers of Flight Museum board member and former four-star admiral in the United States Navy.
Named in honor of Caroline Rose Hunt, a Dallas philanthropist and founder of the boutique charter airline Pumpkin Air, the event will also include a personal tribute from her daughter, Laurie Sands Harrison.
The keynote speaker will be Lt. Col. Justin “Astro” Elliott, a Yale graduate who most recently served as Commander of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, one of the world’s most elite aerial demonstration teams. Elliott will also provide behind-the-scenes insights from his role in Air Force Elite: Thunderbirds, a Netflix documentary directed by Matt Wilcox.
