I’ve always been a big fan of Dr Pepper, but I’ve never considered doing what Dallas police are reporting happened Thursday morning at the Tom Thumb at Preston and Forest. At 8:45 a.m., a Dr Pepper employee parked his truck outside the store and left his keys at the customer service counter while he checked inventory. (The employee said this is a routine procedure.) About 15 minutes later, security footage showed, two thieves took the keys from the unattended counter and drove off in the truck.
