This email started making its way around this morning.
Might be a good time to start putting your alarm on at night. Last night [name of resident] was robbed while she was at home. She thought she heard something at 2:00 am so she got up and locked her bedroom door. At 5:00 am they were trying to get into her bedroom. She called the UP police who were at her house in minutes but her car, purse, keys, computers are gone. That’s what they have noticed so far but if they were in her house from 2-5 I would imagine more things could be missing.
Anyway, don’t mean to scare you all but thought it was pretty ballsy of these people to enter a house when it was obvious someone was home(car in the driveway, lights on, etc….).
Chief Gary Adams of the University Park Police Department confirmed the report.
We are working this. I would hope that if this happens to anyone else they would call the police immediately!
