As you’ll see in our weekly newsletter (hopefully you’re subscribed), there was yet another house party with minors consuming alcohol that ended with no arrests.
At 10:24 p.m. on Feb. 7, University Park police responded to a noise complaint in the 4000 block of Hanover Street, where juveniles were throwing a party.
Officers released the minors to their parents or guardians, and three citations were issued for minor in consumption.
“It is a Class C misdemeanor, so we can write a citation and release them to their parents,” said Officer Lita Snellgrove in an email. “In a serious offense, the juvenile would be detained and taken to the Henry Wade Juvenile Detention Center.”
