UP City Council Raises Price of Pool Day Passes to $8
University Park’s city council voted May 21 to raise the price for single day admission at the Holmes Aquatic Center to $8. The $3 fee increase is the first adjustment in about two decades, director of parks and recreation Sean Johnson told the council.

HPISD Staff Recommends Potential 4% Salary Increase
District staff has recommended that HPISD’s board of trustees consider a 2% salary increase for staff in 2024-25, with an additional 2% increase to be paid retroactively if the district passes a bond that frees up additional funds for staff compensation.
