Greenhill swimmer Josie Arbuckle has been named the recipient of the 38th Davey O’Brien High School Scholarship Award.
PH Rotary, Junkluggers Host Electronic Recycling Drive
The event, held Saturday, Nov. 18 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Hillcrest High School parking lot, will allow community members to drop off electronics to be recycled and pick up White Oak saplings and a tree planting guide from members of the Rotary Guide.

DART Officer Shoots Person After Assault Reported
Dallas Area Rapid Transit spokesman Gordon Shattles said the security officer was assaulted on a northbound Red Line train at the Walnut Hill station in the 8100 block of Walnut Hill Lane around 6:40 p.m. Nov. 13, and the officer shot at the person, wounding them in the arm.

Northaven Trail Bridge Now Open
The 201-foot-long bridge opened Nov. 13, with a grand opening ceremony scheduled for Dec. 2. The ceremony will start at 9 a.m. with speakers then will have a ribbon cutting/bridge pass around 9:45 a.m.
