Mark Armstrong to Give Legacy in Flight Luncheon Keynote

Mark Armstrong, son of Apollo 11 astronaut Neil Armstrong, will give the keynote address at the Legacy in Flight Luncheon presented by JSX on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the Frontiers of Flight Museum, 6911 Lemmon Ave.

Armstrong will offer a personal and poignant perspective on his father’s historic career, the enduring impact of the Apollo missions, and the importance of investing in the future of space exploration and innovation.

The Legacy in Flight Luncheon is a vital fundraiser for the Frontiers of Flight Museum’s award-winning STEM education initiatives, immersive exhibits, and world-class aerospace collections.

This signature event will be chaired by Dyan Medina Gibbens, senior advisor at DARPA and CEO of Trumball. The event’s honorary chair is last year’s chair, Olin Lancaster III, joined by his sons, Olin Lancaster IV, and Christopher Lancaster.

2025 Legacy in Flight Honorees are:

  • Corporate Volunteers — Microsoft
  • Children’s Champion — Alison Doherty
  • STEM Innovation — Airbus
  • Community Partner — D CEO Magazine Group
  • Museum Volunteer of the Year — Col. Bruce Bleakley (Ret.)

The event will also feature a panel of students who have directly benefitted from the museum’s STEM programming.

The Museum is seeking event sponsors who share its passion for STEM education and aerospace innovation.
