Klyde Warren Park is remembering lives lost in the Hill Country’s catastrophic flooding with green ribbons, and a green, silent show at the Nancy Best Fountain.
Fountain shows typically feature a medley of music choreographed with water movements and dancing lights. The new, silent show will occur nightly at 7, 8, and 9 p.m.
“Klyde Warren Park is a gathering place for the community, and everyone in the community is feeling this,” said park president and CEO Kit Sawers.
Sawers was out herself the afternoon of July 9 adjusting ribbons on the park’s trees.
“I think everyone feels so helpless,” she said. “It’s nice to have something tangible to do, at least as a first step.”
