The return of vibrant pumpkins and gourds in NorthPark Center can only mean one thing — autumn has arrived.
NorthPark Center has announced the return of the NorthPark Pumpkin Patch Oct. 1 through Nov. 2. The Patch is free and open to the public.
The seasonal celebration benefits the nonprofit Community Partners of Dallas (CPD). CPD aims to ensure safety and restore dignity and hope to abused and neglected children by providing crucial resources and support to the caseworkers of Dallas County Child Protective Services.
The fun kicks off with CPD’s Change is Good ticketed fundraiser on Sunday, Oct. 5, from 3 to 6 p.m. The event encourages children to collect change to help change the lives of abused and neglected children through the important work of CPD. For more information on the event dates or to purchase tickets, please visit NorthParkCenter.com.
During the event, a transformed CenterPark Garden will offer visitors of all ages a memorable experience featuring thousands of pumpkins and a variety of whimsical activities. Photo opportunities, story times with Bookmarks, a Dallas Public Library, and kid-focused yoga classes are also among the available activities.
Joanna Clarke, president and CEO of CPD, said the nonprofit was thrilled to partner with NorthPark Center once again, highlighting this year’s new designs and increased programming. “We are truly grateful to NorthPark and to all our generous sponsors, and we can’t wait for you to enjoy our fabulous pumpkin paradise.”
This year’s Patch will be designed by Harold Leidner Landscape Architects and NorthPark’s landscape team. Marjon Henderson and Andrea Nayfa will serve as chairs.
Nancy A. Nasher, owner of NorthPark Center, is also looking forward to the return of the Patch for its second season. “It has quickly become a top autumnal activity for local families, and we are proud to continue supporting Community Partners of Dallas in its mission to uplift and protect children in our community,” she said.
