The McCulloch Intermediate School/Highland Park Middle School Student Leadership Club (SLC) has hosted its largest toy drive to date benefitting Community Partners of Dallas.

Altogether, the SLC fulfilled 250 foster children’s wishes during the holiday season, marking a milestone for the club.

“Community Partners of Dallas was truly blown away by the generosity, care, and love shown by our school community,” the school wrote in its Raider Weekly newsletter. “They shared how much it means to them to know they can always count on us to come through and help make foster children’s wishes come true.”

The goal of the MIS/HPMS Student Leadership Club is to promote student-led brainstorming, planning, and participation in service-learning projects and activities throughout the school year.

“Your support plays a vital role in this work,” the Raider Weekly message continued. “Through experiences like this, you are helping instill invaluable lessons in your own children — empathy, service, leadership, and the importance of giving back to others. These lessons will stay with them far beyond this toy drive.”
