SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: PORCH PIRATE

Reported at 6:10 a.m. April 17: A porch pirate pilfered three packages of baby formula from the front door area of a home on Greenbrier Drive.

HIGHLAND PARK

13 Monday

Reported at 11:28 p.m.: A crook tried to take a truck in the 4800 block of Abbott Avenue, damaging a door handle, but sped away in another vehicle as the owner went to investigate the truck’s alarm sounding.

14 Tuesday

Arrested at 9:43 p.m.: A 21 year old at the intersection of Abbott Avenue and Drexel Drive for possession of drug paraphernalia, a defective tail light, driving a vehicle without a license plate or registration insignia, no address change on driver’s license, and unlawfully carrying a weapon.

15 Wednesday

Arrested at 6:10 p.m.: A 59 year old in the 4700 block of Abbott Avenue for public intoxication.

Arrested at 8:55 p.m.: A 44 year old in the 4500 block of Belfort Place for burglary of a vehicle and for a warrant.

17 Friday

Reported 10:21 a.m.: A troublemaker damaged a motorized wooden gate in the 3200 block of Drexel Drive.

18 Saturday

Arrested at 2:46 a.m.: A 32 year old at the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Airline Road for resisting arrest, search, or transport, possession of a controlled substance, and driving while intoxicated.

Arrested at 3:24 a.m.: A 19 year old in the 4700 block of Lakeside Drive for unlawfully carrying a handgun and manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance.

Arrested at 3:36 p.m.: A 32 year old in the 4200 block of Wycliff Avenue for a warrant.

19 Sunday

Arrested at 9:17 p.m.: A 28 year old in the 4200 block of Throckmorton Street for a warrant.

Reported at 8:10 p.m.: A burglar got into a vehicle at the Plaza at Preston Center.

Arrested at 8:44 p.m.: A 44-year-old woman on complaints of assault causing bodily injury and public intoxication on Amherst Street.
