HP Town Officials Identify Streets for Repavement

Streets are prioritized based on specific pavement evaluation criteria

As part of the annual resurfacing program, Town of Highland Park streets are selected, reviewed, and prioritized for work by staff based on specific pavement evaluation criteria.

Resurfacing includes removing the existing asphalt surface and placing new asphalt.

According to Lori Chapin, Director of Engineering for the Town, the following blocks have been identified for the 2026 resurfacing project.

3900-4000 Lexington Avenue (Lakeside Drive to Drexel Drive)
4600 N. Versailles Avenue (Westside Drive to Eastern Avenue)
4600 S. Versailles Avenue (Westside Drive to Eastern Avenue)
4600 Fairfax Avenue (Westside Drive to Eastern Avenue)
4600 Southern Avenue (Westside Drive to Eastern Avenue)
4600 Belclaire Avenue (Westside Drive to Eastern Avenue)
4600 Arcady Avenue (Westside Drive to Eastern Avenue)
4300 Fairfax Avenue (Armstrong Parkway to Douglas Avenue)
3600 Lindenwood Avenue (Gillon Avenue to Byron Avenue)

Staff recommended authorizing the Town Administrator to execute contracts for a total resurfacing amount of $414,315.57 during a council meeting held May 5. The street paving project is part of the 2026 Fiscal Year Budget.
