SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: COLOGNE CAPER

Reported at 4:53 a.m. June 4: A pilferer broke into a vehicle in the 4500 block of Fairway Avenue and took a $250 Versace cologne bottle that was chipped on the bottom.

HIGHLAND PARK

1 Monday

Arrested at 1:58 a.m.: A 23 year old in the 4100 block of Armstrong Avenue for a warrant.

Reported at 12:44 p.m.: A burglar broke into a VW Taos in the 4500 block of Fairfax Avenue by breaking a driver’s side window, but didn’t take anything.

2 Tuesday

Reported at 6:44 a.m.: A crook busted a window of a Lexus GX460 in the 4500 block of Westway Avenue and swiped various tools worth $1,850.

Reported at 8:45 p.m.: A mischief maker shattered the window of a Ford F-150 in the 4500 block of Fairway Avenue, and left a duffel bag behind the truck, but didn’t take anything.

Reported at 11:11 a.m.: A ne’er do well busted the rear driver’s side window of a Subaru SUV in the 4500 block of Fairway Avenue.

Reported at 2:04 p.m.: A fraudster used the card information of a resident in the 3900 block of Gillon Avenue to rack up just under $445 in charges.

Arrested at 8:53 p.m.: A 25 year old for trespassing in the 4600 block of Beverly Drive.

3 Wednesday

Reported at 10:06 a.m.: A careless driver in a box truck hit a Jeep vehicle parked in the 4500 block of Belfort Place but didn’t stop to leave any information.

4 Thursday

Reported at 5:32 a.m.: Another burglar broke into a vehicle in the 4500 block of Belfort Place and rummaged through it, but didn’t take anything.

Reported at 5:53 a.m.: A jerk broke a window of a Toyota Tacoma in the 4500 block of Fairway Avenue and stole a Yeti backpack containing a camera tripod and various lenses worth about $1,200 that was later found at a nearby curb.

Arrested at 9:32 a.m.: A 32 year old for indecent exposure in the 4900 block of Abbott Avenue.

Arrested at 10:10 p.m.: A 22 year old for driving while intoxicated/open alcohol container in the 4200 block of Oak Lawn Avenue.

Reported at 11:45 a.m.: A crook took $200 cash from inside a Volkswagen Tiguan parked in the 4300 block of Potomac Avenue

6 Saturday

Arrested at 9:36 p.m.: A 31 year old for criminal trespassing in the 3600 block of Crescent Avenue.
