SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: EXTREME EGGING

Reported at 12:56 p.m. June 26: A mischief maker egged a vehicle in Highland Park and left an estimated 100 broken eggs and egg cartons around the vehicle.

HIGHLAND PARK

22 Monday

Reported at 12:09 p.m.: An opportunistic thief took a tool bag containing about $1,000 worth of tools from a truck that may have been left unlocked in the 3900 block of Euclid Avenue.

Reported at 8:20 p.m.: A ne’er do well damaged a Tesla parked outside the Whole Foods in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive.

24 Wednesday

Arrested at 6 a.m.: A 71 year old for criminal mischief and warrants at Lakeside Drive and Wycliff Avenue.

Reported at 5:33 p.m.: A would-be grass trimmer thief was thwarted after taking a tool from a truck in the 3600 block of Maplewood Avenue after the resident spotted him trying to walk away with it.

Reported at 10:25 p.m.: A. burglar broke a window of a GMC Yukon in the 3700 block of Maplewood Avenue and stole a golf bag and clubs from inside.

25 Thursday

Reported at 1:35 p.m.: How easy was it for a thief to steal a purse from a vehicle in the 4300 block of Livingston Avenue? The vehicle was unlocked.

Reported at 2:46 p.m.: A fraudster used the information of a resident in the 4400 block of Beverly Drive to open an account for electricity and racked up a bill of about $2,000.

Arrested at 12:49 a.m.: A 22 year old for public intoxication in the 4100 block of Mockingbird Lane.

Arrested at 12:49 a.m.: A 26 year old for public intoxication in the 4100 block of Mockingbird Lane.

Arrested at 3:49 p.m.: A 56 year old for possession of a controlled substance and fraudulent use or possession of identifying information in the 3100 block of Canton Street.

Arrested at 8:53 a.m.: A 40 year old for assault causing bodily injury to a family member on University Boulevard.

Reported at 9:14 a.m.: A ne’er do well shattered the left rear window of a Ford pickup truck on Marquette Street.

Reported at 2:43 p.m.: A burglar got into a vehicle in The Plaza at Preston Center.

Reported at 6:19 p.m.: A crook took mail from a home on Rosedale Avenue.
