SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: SHADY SHOPLIFTING

Reported at 3:08 p.m. June 10: A pair of shoplifters stole three pairs of sunglasses from Chloe in Highland Park Village.

HIGHLAND PARK

8 Monday

Reported at 9:27 a.m.: A burglar got into a home under construction in the 4600 block of Arcady Avenue, rummaged through multiple containers in the bathroom, and damaged $5,000 worth of glassware, dinnerware, and artwork.

Reported at 4:12 p.m.: A stealer swiped a license plate from a BMW X7 in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive.

Reported at 5:33 p.m.: A jerk dumped garbage at a lot in the 3800 block of Beverly Drive.

9 Tuesday

Arrested at 10:56 p.m.: a 44 year old in the 4400 block of St. Johns Drive for driving while intoxicated and driving while license invalid, suspended, with a previous conviction, and without financial responsibility.

10 Wednesday

Reported at 2:47 p.m.: A burglar broke into a Ford Escape in the 4300 block of Southern Avenue by shattering the driver’s side front and rear windows and stole a $150 Calvin Klein purse, a $30 lunch box, and $600 in cash.

11 Thursday

Arrested at 12:58 a.m.: A 37 year old in the 5600 block of Central Expressway for fail to identify fugitive, intent to give false information, possession of drug paraphernalia, and probation violation.

Reported at 2:48 p.m.: A ne’er do well got into a F-150 parked in the 4500 block of Southern Avenue and took a safe containing a Glock 40 firearm, the keys to the safe, and a pocket knife.

12 Friday

Arrested at 7:18 a.m. A 21 year old in the 3400 block of University Boulevard for possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawfully carrying a weapon, and a warrant.

13 Saturday

Reported at 8:51 a.m.: A crook stole a Ford F-250 truck from the 4700 block of Bowser Avenue.
