Northaven Trail’s GOAT Gardeners Return

Everyone’s favorite vegetation removal technicians are slated to return to Preston Hollow’s collective backyard later this week.

About 400 goats and sheep munched their way through two dozen of the Northaven Trail’s “no-mow zones” last fall. Their efforts were organized and supported by the Friends of Northaven Trail. The animals were tended by the eco-friendly land clearing specialists at Open Space.

The herd will arrive for an encore on or about Friday, Oct. 2, at the meadow just east of Freda Stern Drive. It will then travel along the Northaven Trail from Central Expressway to Webb Chapel Road over the course of approximately eight days.
