Park Cities Quail presented Delmar Smith with the T. Boone Pickens Lifetime Sportsman Award on March 3 at the Frontiers of Flight Museum at the group’s annual dinner and auction.
Smith is a nationally recognized gun and bird dog breeder, trainer, and judge. The 90-year-old us a supporter of the Bird Dog Foundation and the Field Trail Hall of Fame.
Former winners of the T. Boone Pickens award include George Strait, Ted Turner, and Pickens himself.
