University Park Elementary’s art room has a colorful new addition this year.
Last May, after learning the history and artistic process of mosaics, a group of third graders stayed after school to create their own. The students designed the pattern, broke up the tiles, and applied the pieces to the wall behind the art room sinks. This summer grout was added to the wall and left to dry.
These third graders have left quite a creative mark on their school.
