Another HPISD educator has been honored by the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International: congratulations to Kay Keeland, a 14-year DKG member.
Keeland received a $1,000 scholarship to use for a global connections and service-learning trip to Guatemala in July. She will assist orphanages with everyday tasks as well as install safer stoves in neighboring homes.
Keeland has been teaching speech communications at HPMS for the past 16 years, and has been teaching speech as an adjunct professor at Eastfield College for the past nine.
