Bill Nichols broke this amazing story in yesterday’s Dallas Morning News: On June 21, the day he turned 16, Highland Park High School golfer Scottie Scheffler shot a 61 at Northwood Club, setting a new course record. Two days later, he shot at 61 at Dallas Country Club, matching the record at that recently renovated course. Pretty salty.
